My colleague, and well known speaker, Cheri Britton, always teases me about how I live my brand more than anybody she knows. I think she’s referring to all the princess-o-bilia I have in my office – and on my car – and in my closet… (and she doesn’t even know about the Princess Smiley Antenna topper I’ve ordered!)
So I had to chuckle when I was at the dentist the other day. I know it’s odd to chuckle at the dentist, especially when it involves a root canal, but Cheri and I had just finished another one of those “you are such a princess” conversations before my appointment.
The tooth in question already had a crown on it, so it looked like it was either going to be tricky, or very expensive.
Once the dentist started explaining what he would do, he said “I really don’t want to remove your crown.”
Inside I’m thinking “How did he know I am a Princess?” Honestly. Apparently I totally spaced about the crown being the one on my tooth! “Soooo living my brand,” as Cheri would say.
To top off the whole royal, princess experience, my dentist is named – drum roll, please – Dr. King.
Yep. I seem to find princess experiences everywhere I go.
Just goes to show you – what you decide to focus on starts showing up everywhere and in unexpected places.
I’d love to hear stories of when you got the royal treatment!
