June 26th, is national “Take Your Dog to Work” Day. Not that a princess needs an excuse to take her dog with her, mind you, but sometimes she might need permission if she works in a traditional office setting. Enter the official holiday!
“When people bring pets to work, they get to know each other better and talk to people they don’t ordinarily work with,” says Dr. Karen Faunt, DVM, vice president and chief medical officer for Banfield, The Pet Hospital.
And, of course, as a princess you know that having your dog nearby helps make you and others calmer and happier. Not to mention “cooler”. There is tons of research to support this, and if you want a little support in promoting Take Your Dog To Work Day at your place of work, check out the website set up just for this day. You can also follow them on Twitter.
If you aren’t sure whether your dog (or your boss) is up to it, take a look at Dogs at Work: A Practical Guide to Creating Dog-Friendly Workplaces.
And as the famous Princess Gilda Radner said, “I think dogs are the most amazing creatures…for me they are the role model for being alive.”
As you know, a portion of all proceeds from Personal Growth Princess are given in support of rescue animals, and in particular, the Animal Protection Society, so Take Your Dog To Work day has extra special meaning here in the kingdom. (Get it? Kingdom – princess – animal kingdom? OK, so it’s a stretch.)
So wash your dog, polish your leash and scamper off to work with your dog!

I love the idea, especially since my business partner is a Springer Spaniel. Dogs that aren’t nice are disciplined. I wish we could do the same with people.
Thanks Princess!
Oh Nina, I couldn’t love this more! Miss Sweetie (my mini dachshund) is excited! You look gorgeous by the way :>) Annie
Thanks, Annie. I love mini-dachshunds, and the name Miss Sweetie is so perfect!
